Southern Smoke Foundation: Behind You Program
Several member graduate training clinics of the George Washington University's Mental Health Training and Advisory Committee have partnered with the nonprofit Southern Smoke Foundation for their Behind You program. Along with the Meltzer Center, other participating clinics include the CCAS Art Therapy Clinic, CCAS Professional Psychology Center Clinic and the GSEHD Community Counseling Services Center (Alexandria location).
This program will help bring evidence-based and culturally informed mental health services to a much-needed population: Food and Beverage industry workers in the District and Virginia. Services will be provided at no cost to them, while offering graduate student clinicians invaluable training opportunities to work with underserved members of our community.
